Nagel PTO is looking forward to you becoming a part of Nagel Nation this fall!
It's an exciting time and we look forward to being a support for you and your students over the next couple of years. We wanted to pass along a couple of reminders; if you have any questions or need anything at all you can contact us at NagelPTO@gmail.com.

Olympic Day is still on, but mother nature demanded the date be changed, twice.
Sixth graders will be participating in Olympic Day on Monday, May 22 from approximately 9:30 - 1:00.
All 6th Grade students from all Forest Hills school will come together to compete in various sporting events. The event will be held at Anderson High School. Due to construction, parking is very limited and all volunteers will be shuttled to the school from Nagel. We need 20 volunteers to help run the event. Please sign up below if you can help - all roles are needed for the entire timeframe. Volunteers will leave Nagel via shuttle at 8:40 or 9:00 or you can be dropped off at AHS.
When signing up, please comment if you cannot be on the early shuttle so I will assign you a role that leaves at 9:00. You will be shuttled back to your car after. All volunteers will be assigned a specific role such as Group Leader, Event Tallier, water table, Event overseer, etc. and will be provided instructions before the event. If volunteers become full, other parents are welcome to come to watch as spectators.
We are also in need of volunteers to run a special lunch back at school after the Olympics. This involves picking up the subs from Jersey Mikes, setting up and serving the lunch to the kids. In addition, we need parents to sign up to bring some side items for the lunch.
You can sign up to volunteer HERE.
Questions? Please contact Emily Sandul.
Every year, Sherwood PTA puts on a Field Day on the final day of the school year. Students, teachers and parents love this tradition. We need your help to make this day great.
There are shifts throughout the day from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. for outdoor events and between 10:45 a.m. -1:45 a.m. for ice cream floats. If you are able to work multiple shifts that is great!
If you are unable to help during the day, we are also looking for families to purchase water balloons and fill up and deliver before school. Additionally, we will need corn-hole boards for the day.
Outdoor activity times are:
Grades 2, 4, 6, AM-K
9:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Grades 1, 3, 5
11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
If you would like to volunteer for Field Day, click HERE to sign up.
As part of Sherwood Serves Gr8tness Week, Wednesday, May 17 is Clean Up Sherwood Night! From 6:30-8:30 p.m., bring the whole family to help clean up and improve our school grounds.
We will be pulling weeks and doing some light landscaping to prepare the grounds for mulching.
Wear your garden gloves and clothes to get dirty.
Spring has sprung and that means it's time to plant your flowers and re-enroll in Kroger Community Rewards. Each April, Kroger wipes the slate clean and you have to do it all over again.
If you don't know about this program, here's how to do it.
To get started, head over to Kroger’s Community Rewards page.
Create an account with your Kroger Plus Card number.
Once you are logged in, scroll down to the Community Rewards section to add or edit the organization your rewards go to.
In the search box, enter “Sherwood”. Sherwood Elementary will pop up.
Once you’re enrolled, you’ll earn rewards for Sherwood every time you shop and use your Plus Card! The best part is that it won’t cost you a dime.
Last quarter our house donated $10 by doing nothing at all, other than spending too much at Kroger.
