The students and staff raised $2,123 this month Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
We are so thankful for all of the donations to help find a CURE for Type 1 Diabetes.

The yearbooks will be handed out at the end of this school year.
Go to this website:
Enter this Yearbook ID Code:
Do you have pictures you have taken this school year at Sherwood (kids working in class, spirit days, lunch time fun, field trips, parties, 6th grade activities, or special class projects)? Please share them with us so we can possibly use them in Sherwood's Yearbook!
To submit photos, follow this link to the Yearbook folder in Google Photos. It's very quick and easy to upload your best photos. You can use the website the link directs you to, or if you have the app 'Google Photos,' it will open automatically when you click on the link. (Note - the app is free and makes it very convenient to share photos regularly.)
If it's easier for you to e-mail a couple photos, that's fine. But when prompted about the image size, please choose ACTUAL SIZE. It needs to be the highest resolution for the Yearbook. Send those emails to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for sharing your pictures throughout the year!

Forest Hills School District’s Central Office will move from its current location at 7550 Forest Road to a new office at 7946 Beechmont Ave. Therefore, Central Office will be closed Nov. 21-23 and Nov. 28-30. During the closing, fingerprinting, registration and background check processes will not be available. Phone calls and emails will continue to be answered on these days. Central Office will open in its new location on Dec. 1.
Contact information for the office will remain the same: the phone number will continue to be 231-3600 and the fax number will remain 231-3830.
The Central Office move to Beechmont Avenue will accommodate relocating the bus fueling station and District Operations offices that are currently on the Anderson High School campus to the current Central Office building on Forest Road. This move is necessary for safety reasons and to provide space for student parking, new traffic patterns and the planned science wing expansion at Anderson High School. The current District Operations building on the AHS campus will be razed.
In addition, the move will provide needed space to accommodate potential future innovative student learning programs and staff professional development. The move will also allow the district to consolidate record storage that is currently housed in several locations throughout the district, including both Anderson and Turpin high schools. This will result in additional educational and office space at both schools.
“After researching multiple options, the district determined that moving Central Office to the building on Beechmont costs far less than building new office space or renting or leasing space at market rates elsewhere in the district. It is the most effective use of district finances, without using funds from the 2014 bond,” explained Scot T. Prebles, superintendent. “I want to thank the Anderson Township Trustees and their administration for their assistance in this move. We appreciate their continued collaboration and support.”
The FHSD Science Fair will be held Feb. 4 at Nagel Middle School. Students should refer to the resources below for more information and to register. The registration deadline is Dec. 16.can learn more about the judging process and register to judge here.

Tis the Season...
The Breakfast with Santa and Santa Shop will be coming to Sherwood and your help is needed!
This is one event that can not happen without a lot of Santa's Helpers. It's a ton of fun and something for everyone.
The 6th grade elves will be assigned stations separately, so no need to register them.
We need adult helpers as cashiers, gift wrappers, craft helpers, food servers, & organizers. Can't help on Saturday, that's okay; we need help on Friday to set up.
Please lend a helping hand. Check out the sign up page and find what suits you.

It's time for the Sherwood Thanksgiving Drive! A time when our community comes together to help those in need. Last year, our community was overwhelmingly generous so let's do it again!
Consider signing up by yourself or with a group to put together a Thanksgiving basket for a family in need.
We need to cover 8 families. We also are in need of other supplies to be used throughout the year such as cleaning supplies, toiletries, Kroger gift cards, etc. Click below to sign up to help. Items are due back to school by 11/21. Thank you in advance for your help.
