The PTA is catering the main dishes for Sherwood staff during spring conferences (dinner on March 8th and lunch on March 9th).
We are in need of donations for side items, drinks, and desserts for both meals.
Please deliver any contributions to the office on Thursday, March 8th, before 3:30 p.m. or on Friday, March 9th before 11:00 a.m.

We’ve had a great first week of Penny Wars as we support families in our community this holiday season for 9United’s Shop & Share event.
Just a reminder, pennies are positive points for each grade, where all silver coins and dollar bills are negative points.
A fun and healthy competition for our students! Which grade will take home the bragging rights this year? Collections will continue through Tuesday, December 5.
Sherwood is proud to support this project as we “help take care of others” with a focus on giving, in whatever way you can.

The count is done and the coins are in. Second grade wins this year's Coins for the Cure.
Coins for the Cure was part of the 6th grade service project.
Once state testing is over, the second graders will get to enjoy their reward but let's face it, we're all winners when we raise funds for cancer research.
Beautiful flowers and a selection of vegetables from Burger Farm will be offered to the students at a cost of $1.00 each. There is a limit of two plants per student.
Students will purchase plants during class time and should bring their money to school on Friday, May 12th.
Volunteers are needed to help with the annual Mother's Day Plant Sale on Friday, May 12th.

More than 2,000 people will participate in the Forest Hills 5K with 100% of proceeds supporting FHSD educational programming and materials.
Registration for the 5K is $23 for adults, $18 for alumni and children under 18 years of age or $75 for a family of four through May 10. All registrations on or before May 10 include a race shirt.
After May 10, registration rates increase by $5 and may not include a race shirt.
The first 100 registrants will receive a pair of socks, compliments of Buckeye Running Company.
Ribbons and prizes will be awarded.
A free Kids Fun Run for children age six and under will begin at 9:45 a.m. and a community festival will begin at 9 a.m. The Forest Hills Foundation for Education is a non-profit organization that strives to enrich the educational experience of students in Forest Hills School District.
More than $225,000 has been given to Forest Hills students and programs due to this 5K which was voted the Best of the East in Cincy Magazine!
This April, the Sherwood Student Council will collect new and gently used shoes for people in developing nations as part of Shoes for H.O.P.E.
Donations will be accepted April 3-7. There will be bins in the lobby to place your items.
The shoes will be distributed through the Missions in Motion Ministry. The shoes collected will go to help people in third world countries with their needs.

Come one, come all! It's time again for fun, food and prizes at the Sherwood Carnival! We hope to see you there on March 11, from 11 - 3 p.m.
As always, we will need lots of volunteers to make this event a success. Check out our Sign Up Genius, and say where you can pitch in.
We will also need help stocking three of our favorite games: Pringles Toss, Pop Toss and Cake Walk. We divide up the grade levels and ask if each grade will kindly donate specific items.

sThe Sherwood Student Council is using football fever to help feed needy families. It's called SOUPer Bowl.
Beginning January 23rd, Sherwood will be collecting canned goods with two bins in the front lobby.
They will be labeled with each of the super bowl team names. Students can bring in nonperishable food items and place them in their favorite team's bin. Students can bring canned good in through February 3rd.
Student Council will count the cans and announce which team has "won" that day. All items will be taken to the Inner Parish Ministry in Newtown.
We need your help to pull off this awesome event.
