ongratulations to all of our Sherwood kids and families who participated in the Flying Pig events this past weekend. Once again, Sherwood was well represented!
Our Sherwood family encouraged one another with positive energy and school spirit, all while having a great time. Congratulations to all!
Forest Hills Council of PTAs and PTOs is thrilled to offer a complimentary showing of "Screenagers" to the parents and students of our schools on Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Nagel Middle School's cafetorium. Studies are showing an undeniable link between the increased use of devices and the decline in mental health among young people; the subject of screen time is a tough topic but a very important one.
To reserve your seat, visit http://bit.ly/ScreenagersFeb20.
While all are welcome, the content of the film is intended students in 6th-grade and beyond. Due to contract stipulations, an additional screening or a link to the film is not possible; our apologies in advance. Questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Sherwood Fuel Up to Play 60 wellness team is hoping to promote an active lifestyle at the 4th Annual Family Fitness Night on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
Bring your family up to Sherwood for a night of activity, movement, and fun!
We will have games, obstacle courses, relay races, dancing, and more. The night is FREE and full of fun.
The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. See you there!
The PTA’s next meeting will be Tuesday, January 16 at 7 p.m. in the Sherwood Media Center.
All parents/guardians of Sherwood students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Joining the PTA meeting will be employees of Child Focus. They will be talking about kids’ mental health, especially depression and anxiety. This will be a discussion you don’t want to miss.
This year the PTA has organized a wide variety of before and after school enrichment programs to make the most of your child's time at Sherwood.
To see what we have to offer this year, download the PDF booklet.
Scholarships are available for FHSD students. Please contact the school counselor Lisa Suttman at email@example.com for more information.
The count is done and the coins are in. Second grade wins this year's Coins for the Cure.
Coins for the Cure was part of the 6th grade service project.
Once state testing is over, the second graders will get to enjoy their reward but let's face it, we're all winners when we raise funds for cancer research.
Love to exercise? Want to socialize while doing it?
Join fellow Sherwood moms each week to get your run on! We will meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Sherwood parking lot.
The routes will start with three miles and will build from there.
Questions? Please email Emily Strausbaugh at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you there!
