Sherwood Principal Dan Hamilton is asking parents to get a head start on paying their Archers' school fees.
School fees are used to buy classroom materials.

Using the teacher's specific supply list, Bright School Kitz packs these boxes with name-brand supplies. They will be waiting at Sherwood for your child on the first day of school. Done and done!

Monday, May 8th: bring a kind note/card to your teacher
Tuesday, May 9th: dress like your favorite superhero (no masks or pretend weapons)
Wednesday, May 10th: bring in a flower for your teacher
Thursday, May 11th: bring in a book dedicated to your teacher for his/her classroom library
Friday, May 12th: dress like your teacher (think about favorite sports teams, favorite colors, etc)

During February conference meals for Sherwood staff will be provided by the PTA. PTA will provide the main dishes for dinner on the 16th and lunch on the 17th. However, we are looking for parents to help with sides, drinks, and dessert.

The FHSD Science Fair will be held Feb. 4 at Nagel Middle School. Students should refer to the resources below for more information and to register. The registration deadline is Dec. 16.can learn more about the judging process and register to judge here.

If you didn't have a conference with your child's teacher in October, don't forget to sign up for a November conference time.
This round of Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences is Thursday, November 10th and Friday, November 11th. These are outstanding opportunities for you to connect with your child's classroom teachers and develop a better understanding regarding your child's progress.
To sign-up for a time slot, go to https://www.myconferencetime.com/sherwood and select your child's teacher(s) below and select an open time time slot. All conferences will be 20 minutes unless agreed upon prior to the conference with your child's teacher or administrative staff.

The PTA will be providing meals for teachers during the November conferences. A variety of soups will provided by Silver Ladle on Thursday, November 10th for dinner, and sandwiches will be provided by Servatii on Friday, November 11th for lunch.
Although the main dishes are taken care of, the rest of the meal depends on the kindness of volunteers to contribute drinks, sides, and desserts. Please visit the link below if you would like to provide an item.

The mission of Red Ribbon Week is to lead and support our nation's families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth.
In recognition of Red Ribbon Week, students are asked to wear red on Wednesday, October 26th.
On Thursday, October 27th Mrs. Bellar is planning a "Mix It Up" during lunch.
She is looking for 6 - 10 parents to sit throughout the tables and help facilitate conversation about healthy lifestyles, etc. If you would like to be a table facilitator you can sign up HERE.
Mrs. Bellar is also looking for red trinkets for an estimation jar (bouncy balls, rings, necklaces, stickers). The class closest will win a prize.
In Principal Hamilton's weekly email he reported that conferences are upon us.
The scheduling site, My Conference Time, will go live on Wednesday, October 5th.
Your teacher will be sending home a letter that will state their preference for an October or November conference time.
Once you log into the scheduling site, please only schedule on the requested day unless you have a conflict. If you have questions, reach out to your teacher.
